Stormwater Management
Stormwater is generated whenever the natural landscape is altered – proper management is critical. NPV is a leader in understanding the New York State stormwater management regulations and proper planning for stormwater management. NPV can assist with design of stormwater systems using recognized best management practices (BMPs) ensuring compliance with municipal engineering requirements for efficient stormwater handling in a cost-effective manner. NPV seeks to utilize the natural features of a site (reduce grading, utilize natural contours and stormwater detention areas, reduce pavement, retain natural areas and recharge runoff nearer to the source), and balance these goals with sound value engineering for low impact design. NPV supports municipal and private clients in implementation of the various New York State stormwater regulations and permitting programs.
