NPV assisted the property owner with all aspects of site investigation, site preparations for building demolition, site remediation and soil management for a 30.43±-acre estate property on the west side of Searingtown Road in the Village of North Hills. The property was originally the Inisfada Estate and St. Ignatius Retreat House, which was closed and key architectural features of the building preserved for reuse prior to building removal. NPV conducted site assessments, site closure activities and oversaw asbestos removal of the original 72,000 square foot, 87 room estate prior to demolition.

Redevelopment of the property is planned as 46-lot single-family residential subdivision with associated access roadway, clubhouse, emergency access road, stormwater management facilities and a gate house. As part of the subdivision review and approval process, NPV and N+P, our engineering affiliate, prepared an Environmental Impact Statement, Traffic Impact Statement, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, subdivision plans/survey and assisted with various agency reviews and approvals. NPV completed the necessary site sampling and remediation activities in accordance with Nassau County Dept. of Health requirements, including ground penetrating radar, sanitary system and stormwater leaching pool remediation and closure, soil management plan preparation and completion of surface soil remediation activities.
