Avalon Huntington Station

NPV assisted the property owner with all aspects of site investigation, site preparations for building demolition, site remediation and soil management for an AvalonBay Communities, Inc. project that involved the redevelopment of a 26 acre parcel of vacant land into a 379 unit transit oriented residential development. NPV conducted site assessments, site closure activities and oversaw an extensive soil management plan.
Redevelopment of the property is planned as 46-lot single-family residential subdivision with associated access roadway, clubhouse, emergency access road, stormwater management facilities and a gate house. As part of the subdivision review and approval process, NPV completed the necessary site sampling and remediation activities in accordance with Nassau County Dept. of Health requirements, including ground penetrating radar, sanitary system and stormwater leaching pool remediation and closure, soil management plan preparation and completion of surface soil remediation activities.
