NPV is assisting the Concerned Citizens of Montauk with an adaptive invasive plant management program within the Town of East Hampton owned Benson Reserve in Montauk, Town of East Hampton, NY. NPV has been working with the Town and citizens along the dune for nearly 2 years to develop an adaptive management plan. NPV has developed a phased approach to restore the native habitat within this important dune system and protect it from the increasing threats of climate-change while enhancing views from the scenic Old Montauk Highway (a State Scenic Highway). The project is scheduled to start construction in winter of 2023/2024 and managed for 10-years initially.
