Happy National Honeybee Day! Did you know that each honeybee makes about 1 twelfth of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime?
Honeybees are vital to our environment and are one of the most effective pollinators, helping to pollinate 80% of flowering plants and more than 130 types of fruits and vegetables each year. Honeybees support food chains that rely on plants reproduced by pollen transfer. During this process, plants are nourished which initiates growth and development.
